15 Days: An Introduction
I’ve always had at the back of mind that this website would gradually morph into something more than Paul James, Games Testing. While there is no doubt that I truly enjoy testing games (for the most part) and what it brings, I do also have other life goals I wish to chase. One of these is writing.
I’ve been writing for myself for a very long time, first sparked during the school summer holidays, aged eight, when I wrote a long, handwritten response to a question set by my teacher. I don’t have it any more but I remember getting lost in the process and enjoying myself. Ever since, I’ve written for me, privately.
Over the passing years, ideas for stories have come and gone, and as I have grown older, my adventures and experiences have changed me, meaning that those imagined stories could have been written by a version of myself that is now lost to time. So, I must write, before my current ideas are also lost, and before I change again.
For now, I just want to get into the habit of writing regularly, whether it’s long-overdue testing blogs (sorry!) or something else. So, to try to form this habit, I’ve come up with 15 Days, where I will write something based upon the previous 15 days and add it here. To be honest, it could be anything but I’m mostly just very keen to get something written. It might not be particularly long, maybe a summary, snapshot, paragraph, or whatever, but this is what I will do. As I write this, it’s 13th January 2025, which means I have two more days before the first 15 Days needs writing up.
I guess I’d better do something interesting.
