“Working with Paul is great!

He’s reliable, affable, and funny: it’s just a pleasure to collaborate with him on a project. He’s not only a fantastic tester with a keen eye for detail, but also an incredibly nice and kind person. Things can get difficult when making a game and juggling things in life, so having a positive presence like him helps a lot!

Despite having been part of huge, important projects in the past that got awards and critical acclaim, Paul was ready to accept working on our small game and treated it with the same professionalism and reliability. He helped us despite short deadlines, real-life issues, and last-minute problems, and for this I’m really grateful.

And let me praise his feedback! Not only for how accurate it is, but also how well it is presented, with neatly prepared documents that include feedback from multiple playthroughs, detailed descriptions, screenshots, the time it took to complete each part of the game, his setup, general impressions, and suggestions.

He has a genuine passion for games and stories, and without him, Confidential Killings would’ve been a much worse game!

Thank you for your help, Paul! It was great having you as part of our team!”

— Lorenzo Boni, Co-developer of Confidential Killings

“Paul’s skill and dedication at testing is unparalleled. From playtesting that proved invaluable in helping us hone the gameplay, through to extensive bug-testing that was always matched with clear notes on the issue, Paul’s contribution elevated Foolish Mortals in every aspect – while also being great fun to work with.

— David Younger, Writer, Director, & Producer of Foolish Mortals.

“I highly recommend you do whatever you can to have Paul playtest your game. If you are reading this testimonial, stop, heed my advice, and welcome him on board.”

— Tonda Ros, Architect of Blue Prince

“Paul’s contribution to the beta testing of Darklight was truly outstanding. His commitment, attention to detail, and thoroughness in providing feedback were instrumental in refining the game to perfection. Not only did he meticulously identify and report bugs, but he also offered valuable insights on gameplay mechanics and contributed ideas to our achievement system that made it to the final version of the game.

Paul’s dedication and expertise made him an invaluable asset to our team. His friendly demeanor and collaborative approach made working with him a pleasure. I have no doubt that I will be reaching out to Paul again in the future for testing our upcoming projects. Thank you, Paul, for your exceptional work on Darklight!”

— Kevin Wickenden, polytely games.

“Paul’s feedback has always been detailed and thought through. He covers both the specific puzzle aspects within our games as well as the story and theme we’re trying to achieve, pinpointing aspects where something is missing or that could be improved.

Turnaround is always very quick and we’ve valued his help on several of our games so far.”

— Will, Co-founder of Puzzle Post.

“I really enjoy the clear way you offer feedback, and the way you presented it to me. While you were very positive, you remained critical enough for me to see what areas could use a bit of improvement. The bug reports were really good – some of those flew under everyone’s radar.”

— Vincent Penning, Developer, VP Games.

“I was looking for a playtester for my solo dev project and Paul answered the call. He quickly became an integral part of the process. Throughout the development cycle, he provided a fantastic quality of feedback, balancing positivity with constructive criticism in a friendly, professional and timely manner.

Paul is passionate about game testing across a wide range of platforms and I highly recommend his services to other developers.”

— Tom Potter, Knightmare Developer.

“Paul worked with us to beta test Lucy Dreaming through multiple iterations. His feedback was meticulous, varied and exceptionally well-documented, not only for finding development bugs, but also testing whether the game was fun, the narrative solid and the dialogue clear.

He was a valuable and friendly addition to the team, and I’ll be giving him a call when we need to test more games in the future!”

— Tom Hardwidge, Tall Story Games.

“I appreciated the testing and dialogue suggestions a lot!”

— Mikel Fick, Founder & Game Developer at Osarion.

“I immensely appreciate your help with Unsung Warriors.”
